MGEN SIR Trevor BISCOPE KCB CD – Bullshit Artist or Lab Rat?

The Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) have produced some mighty fine General Officers. This dude ain’t one of them…
SVC first exposed this individual in January 2025 and our UK counterparts have now poured a can of gas by further investigating his claims.

This dude tells a most fantastic fairy tale of military service in Canada and the UK. Claiming he was as an armoured corps Trooper in the Strathcona’s in 1989 and after 23 years of CF service he eventually was to command the UK’s Special Air Service Regiment prior to being promoted to Major General and Knighted by Queen Elizabeth II.

His 33 page long CV details 5 conduct awards (no indication that they were for good or bad conduct) and two wound stripes! The general also claims service as a Liaison Officer at the Defence Research Establishment in Suffield, Alberta. We can find no evidence of him in DRES however, he may have been a lab rat…

Biscope claims to have served in Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) then based in CFB Calgary in 1989. As proof, he has a posting plaque from A Squadron as a Trooper and another congratulating him upon his promotion to Major General from the regiment.

He claims 23 years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces prior to being promoted to Major General yet, he is an unknown soldier in our small army. Not surprisingly, there isn’t a single piece of evidence supporting his fantastical tales.

Medals, awards and titles

1989 was a monumental year for Sir Trevor as detailed below.

Royal Observer Corps (ROC) Medal –  awarded in 1989, when he was 19 after 12 years service. The ROC was was a civil defence organization, comprised largely of civilian volunteers, intended for the visual detection, identification, tracking and reporting of aircraft over a UK. The ROC operated under the Royal Air Force (RAF) before being fully absorbed by the RAF in 1995.

Canadian Forces’ Decoration (CD) awarded in 1989, when he was 19 year of age, after claiming two years with the LdSH, who knew that the CF allowed 7 year old boys to enrol? The CD qualifying period is 12yrs service, (regular or reserve). Sir Trevor should also be entitled to a clasp representing a further 10 years of long service and good conduct.

2 x Wound Stripes – Awarded by the Canadian Military until Sept 2001 and superseded by the Sacrifice Medal. Apparently Biscope was wounded in action while of a Special Service Force – Special Air Services (SSF-SAS) Black OP on 28 March 1989 when he sustained a “life-threatening closed head injury”…

Kingsman – “Sworn in as a Kingsman in 1987 upon professional selection from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1989”. A Kingsman is a Private soldier in the UK’s Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment and there’s no equivalent in the Canadian Army. Or, was the General a member of this secretive organization?

Knight Commander of the Bath (KCB) – 2012, recognizes military service and it is typically awarded to senior military officers.
No record found in the London Gazette.

There’s no mention of Biscope being a dead-beat dad in his CV but, he is…
