Rene Duguay – Lyin’ Logistician

SVC was advised of Duguay’s medallic fuckery™️ shortly after he was seen wearing 3 medals without any lawful authority during a Remembrance Day ceremony at the Cold Lake First Nation 11 November 2023.

We held off publishing any details of the situation until the military justice system announced his court martial and the inevitable administrative processes had been completed. Ex Corporal Duguay was found guilty of an act to the prejudice of good order and discipline (S129 National Defence Act) on 7 November 2024.

Additional details can be found in the link below.

Matthew KIDD – Lil’ RCEME Pony!

Matthew KIDD
Rimouski, Quebec

We were asked to review a number of photographic images of ex Corporal Matthew KIDD, a former member of the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (2004-2010) who resides in Rimouski, Quebec.

Several individuals who served with Kidd during his recruit / trades training and in Garrison Petawawa questioned his entitlement to any of the three medals he wore while participating in RCL events as either the branch’s 1st Vice President or the Sergeant at Arms.

After a considerable amount of research, we had significant concerns over his claims of service as a Vehicle Technician in Afghanistan and Haiti and having any entitlement to the South West Asia Service Medal, the General Campaign Star (SWA) and the Operational Service Medal (Humanitas) .

So, in accordance with our long established procedures, we discreetly contacted him with the goal of determining his military history. Kidd told us that his deployed service was legit and he’d provide us with proof of his medallic entitlement.

After several days of being blown off by him, the decision was taken to publicly expose his medallic fuckery™️ on our media platforms.

As a result of him being showcased, Mr Kidd surrendered the medals that he wore without lawful authority for appropriate disposal action to a select group of veterans belonging to Quebec Command of the Royal Canadian Legion. That action along with his written apology may have saved him a visit from law enforcement authorities carrying a copy of s419 of the Criminal Code of Canada.

***UPDATED***James Kenneth FRENCH – Never pass a fault!

Mr Kenneth “James” FRENCH has been making false claims of military service for at least a decade.

https://www.bclocalnews.com/news/once-homeless-lower-mainland-veteran-hopes-government-provides-help/

In a recent newspaper article, he is pictured wearing a most interesting group of medals including the Sacrifice Medal, the Persian Gulf & Kuwait Medal, the General Campaign Star (South West Asia), the Special Service Medal & the Canadian Forces Decoration.

(1)  The Sacrifice Medal, awarded to CF personnel Wounded in Action or posthumously for those Killed in Action. This medal was created in 2008 and  is retroactive to 2001. Mr French says he served in the CF until 1999 therefore, he cannot be a legitimate recipient of that medal.

(2) The Persian Gulf and Kuwait Medal awarded for service during Gulf War 1 (1990-91). The 3rd Battalion RCR, then based in Germany, was deployed to Bahrain / Qatar as a defence / security force for the headquarters and the airfield. However, French is a complete unknown to that group of Royals. He is also unknown to the members of the 1sr Battalion RCR tasked with the defense and security of 1 Canadian Field Hospital.

(3)  The General Campaign Star (South West Asia) was created in 2004 and first awarded later that year, it is not a retroactive award, and again French claims his military service had concluded prior to this mission.

(4)  The Special Service Medal (SSM) recognizes a multitude of missions and is ALWAYS awarded with a clasp detailing the operation – PEACE/PAIX, ALERT and NATO are the most common. Of note, there is no clasp on the SSM he’s wearing.

(5) Lastly, the Canadian Forces Decoration (CD) is a long service and good conduct medal, it requires 12 years of honourable service. By his own admission, he has only 10 years of military service.

Typically, posers, fakes and embellishers are exposed due to their difficulty understanding recorded history and simple arithmetic.

French is just the latest in a long line of individuals who have used a bogus military narrative in an attempt to gain something without any lawful entitlement

We remember the blood, sweat and tears that it took to earn a piece of metal attached to coloured ribbon, a strip of cloth or an embroidered badge, and that is why we get somewhat emotional about them.  Stolen Valour Canada does not take our mission lightly. We are absolutely dedicated to finding posers where ever they may be and making sure that they are stopped from sullying the memory of Canada’s service men and women. For an individual to wear the Sacrifice Medal, without the making the requisite sacrifice is an absolute insult to our wounded and fallen.

These reprehensible acts should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

The Access to Information response was crystal clear!

The Access to Information response was crystal clear!

Spin it any way you like, not one Combat Engineer was entitled to the both the South West Asia Service Medal AND the General Campaign Star (SWA) for their service in Afghanistan as a member of TF 1-06 / TF Orion in 2006.

Updated-Milan KRES – He’s not just a bogus jumper!-Updated

In the Summer of 2017, SVC was asked to have a look at Mr Milan Kres’ claims after he made some outrageous claims on multiple Airborne and Special Forces webpages and forums.

He claimed to have been an airborne soldier and special forces operator who had deployed world wide and lost men in battle.

Mr Kres has absolutely NO lawful entitlement to these medals and and what they represent.

Nice try shit ball… Not really!

When questioned by legitimate soldiers, Kres produced his serialized Canadian Airborne Regiment coin as proof of service. The coin pictured, is a poor copy of the original version and can be bought online $24.99 / engraving is extra…

What we do know, Kres was militia member with the Loyal Edmonton Regiment in the late 1970s, he left the Reserve Force after a short period of time, and then did all of his soldiering on-line, at military surplus stores and in the tattoo parlour.

Former Private Kres has yet to apologize for his actions, surrender the bogus items, and he continues to be seen at military related events in the Edmonton area.

Lest we forget.

*** UPDATE – 4 August 2020 ***

Way back in 2017,  SVC was asked to look at the claims being made by Milan Helmut KRES of Edmonton Alberta. He claimed to have been an airborne soldier and special forces operator who had deployed on operations world wide and lost men in battle.

His claims resulted in considerable discussion in veterans forums and we took every efforts to contact him in order to sort out the situation.

His response?

Kres deleted the images of the medals, insignia and certificates and went silent.

Perhaps,  he heard foot steps after SVC initiated the “Shameless Sunday” showcase of unrepentant posers, fakes and embellishers who had yet to responsibility for their actions.

After 3 years of silence Mr Kres contacted us last week and stated that he wanted to make amends and asked what steps he had to take in order to do so.

As the window to pursue criminal charges against him had long since closed, Kres was advised that a public apology for his reprehensible actions would be a starting point.

He was further advised that surrendering the bogus medals, badges,  insignia and certificates for appropriate disposal action would confirm his commitment to never use them as props in a game of military make believe.

A SVC representative met with Kres on 4 August 2020 and took control of assorted bogus items. These items will be properly disposed of / placed on display in military facilities as appropriate or applicable.

SVC has now closed the file on this matter.

Because we ain’t ogres…

A word of advice,

Don’t stand in the blood of our wounded and fallen by wearing bogus military uniforms adorned with unearned badges, rank insignia and medals.

Rest assured, SVC with assistance of our supporters will eventually bring an end to your foolish games, no matter where you may be.

Several months ago, we were asked to have a look at an individual who was a regular participant in military / veteran themed events. Looking at the dude’s uniform, it appears it put together by blind, impaired chimpanzee rummaging about the disposal bins on the clothing stores’ loading dock.

Lapel pins for collar dogs, “gold lace” Corporal’s stripes, 1 CMBG patch, a Warrior Badge along with an obviously bogus Special Service Medal (NATO) and grey socks with civvy pattern shoes! On occasion, he’s worn a tri-service hat badge on his beret and a green ISAF patch on his tunic sleeve…

No reasonable person would tolerate a random dude dressing up as a police officer, firefighter, paramedic or dog catcher and taking on a significant role in events of remembrance. So, why is this sack of shit allowed to stand in the blood of the wounded and fallen while wearing a fantasy clown suit?

So, the question becomes – why did the “adults“ in his community allow him to play a game of dress up in a military themed costume? Was it to prevent the bogus “Afghanistan veteran” with issues from burning down the village? Was it because the event organizers lacked the intestinal fortitude to call him out?

Fortunately, a few good people contacted us and asked that we take a look…

Due to circumstances, relayed to us from a representative on the ground, we have made the decision not to identify the individual nor the location where this shitbaggery took place.

However, we have assurances that he won‘t be portraying himself as a veteran in the future.

Why did SVC take this approach?

Because we ain’t ogres..

Next!

Robert Cooper. Wetaskiwin, Alberta – Guilty!

Mr Robert Copper of Wetaskiwin, Alberta – is now a convicted Valour Thief.

He received a $1500 fine, 1 year supervised probation and 10 hours community service for his medallic fuckery™.

Hopefully, scrubbing the the local cenotaph will provide him the opportunity to reflect upon his reprehensible behaviour!

For 24.95 (USD) plus shipping and handling and you can become a wounded hero!

Brent Errol TREMBLAY- Master Sergeant, Purple Heart & CIB? Nope…

Brent Tremblay
Neville, Sk

SVC would like to take this opportunity to recognize the assistance of  provided us by trusted friend, the late, Sergeant First Class Jonn Lilyea, a US Army Gulf War Veteran & co founder of the web site “This Ain’t Hell” (TAH)

Mr Brent Errol Tremblay, embellisher &  fake combat wounded veteran, welcome to the jungle!

https://valorguardians.com

https://militaryphony.com

Stolen-Valour Canada was advised by a number of parties that there was a potential issue with the US medals and insignia that Brent Tremblay of Neville, Saskatchewan had been photographed wearing.

Mr Tremblay rockin’ the US Combat Infantry Badge along with the Purple Heart. Interestingly, he’s not wearing the 2 medals he could be entitled to for his CAF service in Cyprus

Prior to investing any research effort into what could potentially become an wild goose chase, we contacted Mr Tremblay in (July 2018) order to provide him with an opportunity to sort out the reported situation. SVC does not act upon unsubstantiated intelligence or malicious tips, and we were hoping that he’d take advantage of our offer to assist to protecting his reputation.

Eventually, he read the emails, refused to cooperate and/or protect his reputation and, in fact, he made the now standard threats of legal action against us should we share our research on our media platforms. (22 Mar 2019)

However, we learned through an intermediary on 27 Mar 2019, Tremblay made the decision to ”cowboy up” and admit he had no lawful entitlement to wear the US military awards including the Purple Heart and CIB.

When contacted, Mr Tremblay told us that he had made an apology on an obscure fishin’ bubba’s FB page (he refused to share the apology, only his reaction to their messages of support) and that he had destroyed the US medals and insignia…

But, we already knew that as a result of our cross border partnerships, as SVC obtained the results of a FOIA request. Our American friends used Tremblay’s full name / confirmed date of birth in their communications with the National Personnel Records Center in St Louis, Missouri.

TREMBLAY_BRENT_ERROLL_nprc_refer_ng2

What we do know,

Mr Tremblay was a member of the Royal Regina Rifles for a short period of time (1980-81). He then joined the Regular Force as a Cook, completed his trades training at CFB Borden and subsequently served in Cyprus with the 2nd Bn PPCLI. He left the CAF shortly after his early repatriation to Canada.

As a legitimate Canadian Forces veteran with service in Cyprus Tremblay could be entitled to the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal and the United Nations Forces in Cyprus (UNFICYP) Medal…

Thanks to investigative assistance of the late SFC Jonn Lilyea US Army (a Desert Shield / Storm infantryman / CIB recipient) and a co-founder of the US Blog This Ain’t Hell, we were advised that there was absolutely no record of Tremblay’s claimed service during Operation Desert Shield / Storm.

Had he been on Active Duty and deployed to the Middle East, the National Personnel Records Center in St Louis, Missouri would have held the documents.

It’s really quite simple,

Tremblay lived in various locations along the I-5 corridor in Washington State / Oregon (1990ish-2000s). He was a Power Generation Equipment Repairman serving with the 41st Infantry Brigade of the Oregon National Guard just long enough to have his official portrait taken…

He never served in the South West Asia theatre of operations in any capacity so, he could not have met the criteria for being awarded the Purple Heart Medal and the Combat Infantryman Badge…

There’s probably more to Tremblay’s story however, SVC has focussed on his medallic fuckery alone.

Fakers got to keep on fakin’… We’ve concealed the identity of “service dog” as he’s just another innocent victim / stage prop in Tremblay’s military themed fairy tale. (2 Oct 2019)

Lest We Forget.
